As you know Coronavirus is very deadly as well as being very contagious, but we now have the means to neutralize this pathogen in several ways that can restore the buildings integrity back to normalcy.
This will minimize the effects and continuously help protect the occupants from the Coronavirus at location in spreading among the young and old, especially towards the elderly.
The CDC reports that microscopic droplets containing the Coronavirus can stay afloat in the air for up to three hours and up to several days on surfaces.
Coronavirus is very small (.3 or less microns). It is difficult to kill with disinfectants. Airborne Coronavirus is also difficult to kill with proactive air purifiers like iWAVE, UV, or PCO. However, our multiple solution strategies such as air purifiers that works in conjunction with your building’s HVAC system kills and filters out Coronavirus. It is also killing and removing other viruses, bacteria, allergens, mold spores, plus other harmful particulate from the air.
We can implement these latest developments in accordance to ASHRAE guide to RE-Opening Schools such as:
1. Increase outside air mixture. Start units 2 hours earlier than normal.
2. Install MERV 13 Filters or the highest MERV that is practical based on current HVAC equipment.
3. Introduce Portable HEPA/UV machines in each classroom, office, or occupied space.
4. UV lights inside the air handlers that distribute cooling/heating.
5. Installation of Air Ionization units also in the air handler plus in local units (fan coil, unit ventilators, ductless indoor units, etc.)
6. Approved spray mixtures to disinfect Coronavirus on surfaces that are wipe-less and economical to use.
Our HVAC Building Protection Program against the Coronavirus, other pathogens, VOC’s and harmful particulate will consists of, and to be executed as a whole for your company, place of business, residence, establishment, or place of worship are of the following: Disinfection, Filtration, Purification, and Circulation.

Protecting Against The Impact of Coronavirus
How to Minimize the Effects & Continuously Protect the Environment from Covid-19
A DBA of Handymen of America
Our multiple solution for fighting Covid-19 indoors include installations of Portable Air Disinfecting system as part of our HVAC service in New Jersey.
Above right is an iWAVE air purifier, a device that installs in any duct air conditioning systems. When air passes over the iWAVE, ions produced by the device reduced pathogens suchs as Covid-19.
Below right is another Plasma Air device that is presented at the air path of an air handler in an HVAC system. As air flows past these devices, ions actively purify the supply air, killing bacteria, mold, and viruses. The ionization process also reduces allergens, smoke and static electricity, plus helping control odors and other particulates in the air without creating ozone or harmful byproducts.
Above are Plasma air products for large commercial HVAC and small residential HVAC up to six tons in capacity to help fight Covid-19.
Plasma Air products can be mounted in the central air conditioning system of any building. For example: as air passes over these type of product in an air handler, millions of positively and negatively charged ions are formed., much like in nature.
These bipolar ions are then dispersed into the occupied space via the air handler through various areas of the duct system, proactively attacking airborne contaminants. Plasma Air is safe, low maintenance, energy efficient, and highly effective on pollutants such as particulate matter, bacteria, viruses, mold spores, odors, and VOCs.
Plasma to Help with Covid-19 Protection
To remove allergens and other pollutants from the air, some of the ionization units can be placed within the HVAC system. Others are very small and are designed to treat a specific square footage and are energy efficient and with these smaller units operating on less than one watt of energy.
There are also standalone types of ionization units that can be placed on a tabletop, desk or other areas to provide greater coverage in a small area, yet portable enough as well as being discrete and very quiet. These portable units are often used when a home or office doesn’t have a central air conditioner that can have ionization units mounted internally.
Allergen Control plus Covid-19 Protection
Bipolar Ionization to Help with Air Quality & Covid-19
Another popular option for an ionization unit is a cold plasma ionizer. This system will release both positive and negative ions. Healthy air quality requires a balance of both positive and negatively charged ions at a rate of between 900 to 1000 negative and 1000 to 1200 positive ions per cubic centimeter of air.
Usually, air in a city will have less than 80 percent of the required ion levels found in fresh, unpolluted air. In homes or place of business establishments, it is very common to have even lower levels of ions as the same air is recirculated over and over again. That is another reason why outdoor air should be filtered and circulated with the indoor air in an energy efficient manner. This is beside the benefit of having the proper amount of ventilation in order to provide oxygen for you to breathe.
At New Jersey Oil and Gas, we are Energy Efficiency Tech Certified as well as Indoor Air Quality Certified.
